Jon Allen

Jon AllenJon Allen is a folk rock singer-songwriter born in Winchester, currently living in London. His debut album Dead Man’s Suit was released on 1 June 2009 on Monologue Records. He is best known for the hit songs In Your Light and Going Home the later of which featured in a worldwide advert for the Land Rover Freelander 2. His music is evocative of the folk-rock scene of the late 60s/ early 70s.

2011 saw the release of “Sweet Defeat’ Jon’s second album. Tracks from thjs album (Sweet Defeat, Joanna) have been synced in TV shows ‘Homeland’ & ‘Bones’ as well as the Hugh Lawrie movie ‘The Oranges’.

Sitting comfortably with contemporaries such as Ryan Adams, Jose Gonzales and Damien Rice, whilst being unmistakeably evocative of the folk-rock scene of the late 60s/ early 70s.

A confident performer – opening for the likes of Mark Knopfler, Emmylou Harris, KT Tunstall, Jose Gonzalez and Damien Rice has not fazed him – wowing audiences in the process in venues from the miniscule 12 Bar all the way up to Wembley Arena.
