Blood Memory - A Story of Removal and Return

Bill Stankay has composed the score to the documentary film Blood Memory, telling the untold history of America's Indian Adoption Era - a time when nearly one-third of children were removed from tribal communities nationwide.  As public scrutiny over Indian child welfare increases, an adoption survivor helps others find their way home through song and ceremony.

The film is featuring during the First Indigenous Online Film Festival this September, before the films broadcast premiere on America Reframed
