Warface2We are delighted to announce that five piece Electro Rock Band IAMWARFACE have  joined the Wardlaw roster.

IAMWARFACE have taken the pop route but keep it dangerous with a fusion of 80’s style vocals, abstract guitars, moody layered synth riffs and pounding drumbeats. Influences include Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Kasabian, Muse, Nero, Queens of the Stone Age, Tears For Fears, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Black Keys and MGMT.

First single – ‘Say My Name’ picked up over 40,000 plays on Spotify and was used by Sky Sports across their Football shows.

Eddy Temple-Morris has described their forthcoming single, the haunting love song ‘Closer’ as: “The best thing they’ve ever done…without question one of my tracks of 2018”

This award recognises outstanding originality in songwriting; songs which capture the moment and/or explore the boundaries of contemporary music.

The Ivor Novello Awards, named after the entertainer Ivor Novello, are awards for songwriting and composing, which have been presented annually in London by the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) since 1955.

‘Enemies’ by Hawk Eyes has been synced on Episode 3 of ‘Siren’, an American television drama series that premiered on Freeform March 2018.

The coastal town of Bristol Cove, known for its legend of once being home to mermaids, is turned upside down when a mysterious young woman appears and begins wreaking havoc upon the small fishing town. Marine biologists Ben and Maddie work together to find out who and what drove this primal hunter of the deep sea to land, and are there more like her out there?

Paperface – Oh Boy!

MR WRONG EP COVERPaperface has released his latest EP, including the singles ‘Mr Wrong’ & ‘Boy’. Already receiving radio support from 6Music, Paperface will be bringing his talents to a live audience at Camden’s Green Note in late April.

There’s something going on…..

xZ79cc4A_400x400Pioneering UK band, Grupo X, who are celebrating 21 years together, have been back in the studio, creating original, soulful Afro-Latin music. Something Going On is the first release from these sessions, with a new album due out later in the year.

Something Going On maintains Grupo X’s reputation for dancefloor-friendly tunes with a soulful sensibility and a Latin twist. In a stellar lineup, Grupo X vocalist, Lisa Millett, is on magical form, telling the tale of a partner obsessed with Obeah and superstition.

The EP features two contrasting remixes;  a pulsating Northern Soul makeover from talented flautist/saxophonist/producer, Chip Wickham, and Drum & Bass remix  by up-and-coming, Leeds-based producer, Jeano.

Live tells the story of police officers – from the lowest field cadets and patrol officers, to their superiors – as they form the ‘Live’ team at the Hongil patrol division.
