ROESY

Roesy hails from Birr, Co Offaly, Ireland. Through his career he has shared the stage with Bert Jansch, Ron Sexsmith, Paul Brady, Billy Bragg, John Martyn, Davy Spillane, Donovan, Shane MacGowan, plus celebrated Irish author Paul Durcan.

In 2018 he released a new album,The Day Before the Fair, full of traditional Irish folk songs. His song ‘Cast Your Line’ was featured on the Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch” and the track ‘Stardust’ was added to the feature length documentary “The Bikes Of Wrath”.

Although rooted in Ireland, his wanderlust and interesting travels have also had a lasting impact on his music. You can hear the influence of Bolivia in songs such as ‘Smothered in Light’ and ‘Potosi Mine’, and his time spent in Nepal can be felt in ‘What Would I Know’.
