Jon Allen

British Folk-Rock artist Jon Allen was born in Winchester and currently resides in London.

During his formative schooling years, Jon attended an alternative progressive school in Totnes, and it was here that he began to discover a talent for songwriting and performance.  Deciding to develop this talent further, Jon managed to secure a place at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), founded by Sir Paul McCartney, on the songwriting course. 

Upon graduating from LIPA, Jon moved down to London, and after a demo tape of his gained a glowing 5 star review in magazine Making Music and Jon soon found his place in the UK music scene.

Jon soon found himself sharing the stage with such internationally- esteemed artists as Emmylou Harris, Mark Knopfler, KT Tunstall and Jose Gonzalez, and playing in some of the world’s top venues, such as Wembley Arena, Manchester MEN and the Zenith in Paris.

Jon’s most recent album, ‘Blue Flame’, released in 2018, has amassed over 5 million plays on Spotify.

Jon has had a very successful string of sync placements, starting from when his track ‘Going Home’ was used in a Land Rover commercial.

More recently, Jon’s track ‘Joanna’ has been featured in the 2013 film Safe Haven, as well as drama series Homeland. Plus further placements in Bones, Resurrection, Goodwin Games and Seta Vida (Brazil).

In 2018 ‘Loving Arms’ appeared in the film What They Had, starring Hillary Swank, and ‘In Your Light’ appeared in Korean drama Live.
