The duo recorded their first and only album Children of the Sun in August 1968. The songs on it are mainly written by Oldfield, and the album contained some of her brother’s early guitar work. In 1973 Sally contributed vocals on Mike Oldfield’s classic “Tubular Bells”.

Oldfield’s debut solo album, “Water Bearer”, was released in 1978. The track, “Mirrors”, peaked at #19 in the UK Singles Chart, spanning 1978 and 1979, and remained in that chart for thirteen weeks. Since then, she has released twelve solo albums.

Two of Sally’s songs ‘Mirrors’ and ‘Boulevard Songs’ have been synced into the 2018 film Pincushion, which received critical acclaim across the U.K.

On May 25th 2018, the deluxe edition of ‘The Enchanted Way‘ was released, featuring re-mastered and re-worked versions of Sally Oldfield’s most popular songs.
