Isra Lohata, better known as Wizzy Wow, is a songwriter, musician, Ivor’s-nominated (Stormzy’s ‘Don’t Cry For Me’) and twice Grammy-nominated music producer (Ed Sheeran’s ‘X’ and Chrisette Michele’s ‘Better’) who has established a name in the music industry for his innovative production work.
Wizzy Wow first discovered his love of music production at a young age, finding solace in music after moving to London from Sweden. His passion only grew from there and led him to help form the Grime collective Combination Chain Gang’ of which Wretch 32 was a part of. Wizzy continued down the production path before creating any of his own material, working with the most exciting UK rap artists of the time such as Kano, Tinie Tempah, Giggs and Stormzy, for which Wizzy was nominated for a prestigious Ivor Novello award for co-producing “Don’t Cry For Me”
This lead him to begin working with both U.K artists and international artists also; producing songs for the likes of rap heavy-hitters 2 Chainz and Big Sean.
Wizzy’s production has also caught the ear of brands such as Adidas, who used his songs on the ‘Take The Stage’ campaign for the 2012 Olympics advert and for the Chelsea FC ‘Got The Blues’ advert for their 2013/2014 new kit launch.
As well as making music Wizzy enjoys sharing his experiences and knowledge to develop and help others to reach their full potential. This has included working on a project with Levi’s & Skepta, as one of their music mentors.
