Sharon Shannon Releases “The Winkles Tapes”

To celebrate 30 years as a performing musician, Sharon Shannon has released an album of 16 tracks called The Winkles Tapes 1989. to be followed by 14 exclusive, tri-weekly singles showcasing the wide and diverse scope of her incredible 30-year musical journey. All the tracks will then be compiled onto her 30th Anniversary album to be released November 2020.

The Winkles Tapes was tirelessly compiled by Mike Scott (of the Waterboys) from an impromptu 3 day session recorded direct to tape and features some of the biggest names in Irish music, from Donal Lunny, Mike Scott, and Adam Clayton of U2.
