Singer-Songwriter Louise Connell releases her first track of 2022, the beautiful ‘The Truth That I Suppose I Always Knew’. Louise recently signed with the brilliant indie label Last Night From Glasgow (LNFG) for her next album. The release is available on all streaming platforms as well as on CD, which will also include five of her previous singles.

On September 10th Louise supports Monica Queen at the CCA, Glasgow.

Darryl Hunt bassist and songwriter with The Pogues has passed away at the age of 72.

The musician, singer and songwriter was born in Hampshire in 1950, studied fine art at Nottingham Trent and formed his first band in 1973, The Brothel Creepers. He later formed punk band The Favourites before joining The Pogues in 1986.

Darryl wrote The Pogues classic song 'Love You Till The End'.

Darryl also recorded 2 albums with his band BISH.

At Wardlaw, we had the true pleasure of working with Darryl for many years, spending many hours talking music, football, & comic books. At least you saw Forest return to the Premier League.

Manchester Prog duo The Blackheart Orchestra have released the track ‘The Tide’ taken from the band’s upcoming album Hotel Utopia, which will be released through Ceandar Records on September 23, 2022. Hotel Utopia takes a musical look at the afterlife, an audio movie for the listener’s mind, emotions and imagination.

‘Wine and Roses’ is the second solo single from London born and bred, Singer-Songwriter Malissa Whitehouse, following on from debut single ‘Dear Diary’. Both songs are co-written by Kevin Hughes

‘Buckles and Broken Hearts’ by country singer Joe Peters was written by Wardlaw writer Tim Styles. The song tells the story of country singer and former rodeo competitor Joe’s life.

Sharon Shannon releases a left field rap with Irish comedian Cian Twomey ‘From Killarney to Blarney’, Cian as his alter ego Emily!

Sharon is spending the summer playing festivals across Europe before touring Canada in October and a UK tour February 2023.

Written by Osibisa front man, Gregg Kofi Brown, the track was inspired by the passing of Afrobeat legendary drummer, Tony Allen, and features vocals from Ghanaian vocalist, Ssue. Steeped in voluptuously rich vocals, 'Yo Luv Is Betta' serves-up a delicious melodic cocktail of afro-beats, flecked with jazz undertones and big-band instrumentals. The remix combines a joy-ride of Afrobeat and Afro / Brazilian house beats & bass groove, sparkled with scintillating sitars, re-arranged horn stabs and the metal tines of a Fender Rhodes.
