Love In The Time of Florida

Following on from the album launch show at the Water Rats in London, and a set in Nice, France for Fête du Port 2019, this Friday marks the release of the new Paperface double album, “Love In The Time Of Florida“.

The album was mostly recorded in single takes, a deliberate ploy to capture immediacy and celebrate the band. Much of it was recorded on a barge, as they made their way around the waterways of England. The sense of sun dappled waterways that pervades the music is well complimented by a live orchestra that was later recorded in Budapest.

Many of the songs are also accompanied by animations made by Paperface and Cristian Wisenfeld (winning special mention and prizes at independent film festivals like ‘Festival Internacional de Cinema’ and ‘Re Animania International’.

“One of the best songs of the night”- Billy Sloan

As well as high praise for the album launch gig: “The 12 song set was a masterclass and hugely enjoyable for a crowd that included family, radio presenters, musicians and press; it also had fans. It had fans who sang every word and who lapped up every delightful moment. It had fans who weren’t fans when they entered the venue but were certainly fans when they left.” (John Brown, Patchcord News)
